Compliance Officer & MLRO

Job description / Role

This is a key strategic hire for the company as you will be the most senior Compliance person in the region. You will be reporting into the Board of Directors and joint SEO's and will be working very closely with the DFSA. This a very visible position for the business in terms of their ability to grow and expand.

* Full control over all compliance and money laundering related activities within the company
* Responsible for training and mentoring junior staff within the business
* You are required to comply with all relevant Company policies and the DFSA's Principles for Authorised Individuals
* Develop and maintain a positive relationship with DFSA
* You will serve as the main point of contact of the Company for the DFSA and relevant authorities of the UAE regarding money laundering issues
* Oversee the full implementation of the organisations Compliance policies and procedures
* Maintain in regular contact with the SEO and parent company to ensure they're fully aware of all matters

Requirements

* Minimum 5 years' experience in a similar role

* DFSA authorised

* English is essential, additional languages are an advantage

* Degree qualified

* Ability to report to the Board

* Good communication skills
