Job description / Role
A recent new client added to Irwin & Dow’s portfolio is now seeking a Compliance and QA Manager for two of their locations. One is based in Dubai and is very accessible by public transport; however the Sharjah location does require those with their own vehicle.
This is a time of expansion for the organisation and within its specialism in the business support and management services sector, they are exceptionally well known in the region. As such they are keen to ensure that as they further develop, there is no compromise with the quality and compliance management of all services offered to their clients. Supporting the full cycle of activities across this diverse group, you will ensure that all policies and procedures address any gaps and are fit for purpose, whilst supporting a small team of junior staff members, guiding them on the impact to the organisation of non-compliance issues.
Responsibilities of this role include performing risk assessments to ascertain the scope of work required, KYC due diligence and protocol and ensuring that all documentation and records are maintained to an exceptionally high standard. Any non-compliance issues will be escalated to the Senior Manager and you will be instrumental in the follow up and course of action taken forwards. Overall, you will continuously strive to improve the department’s standards by ensuring robust and effective control at all times, with high levels of discretion and confidentiality. The successful individual will also maintain their knowledge with regards to changes in legislation and be commercially aware and proactive.
In order to be shortlisted for this role it is expected that you will degree educated, with a relevant ACAMS certification and 3-5 years exposure within a compliance and/or quality assurance position. A strong communicator in English, those who are also Arabic speaking are viewed as highly desirable for this role. Please also consider that your own transport is essential for the Sharjah location.
