Job description / Role
The Conference Coordinator will report to the Conference Director and will be responsible for supporting the delivery of the Innovation Sessions. The Conference Coordinator will also support the team with speaker management tasks required, including:
• Content research and development of commercial and industry relevant topics
• Work closely with the sales team to coordinate the sponsored speaking opportunities within the exhibition programmes
• Work closely with our clients / sponsors to confirm their speakers, organise their participation and ensure a smooth and successful attendance for each company
• Source, invite and confirm speakers and moderators
• With the support of the conferences team, write and deliver sales briefings to ensure the teams are meeting their targets and the right messages are being delivered
• With the support of the conferences team, work closely with the marketing team to ensure the necessary marketing mediums are being used and the right messages are being sent to market
• Support the team with speaker management requirements such as: speaker invitations, speaker briefings, speaker licences, speaker presentations, etc
• Ensure onsite delivery is executed with excellence and speaker and attendee/sponsor relationships are strengthened
Requirements
• Experience in conference production and / or events
• Excellent information gathering
• Engaging, professional, and diplomatic demeanour
• Comfortable conducting telephone calls
• Strong teamwork skills
• Self-disciplined and able to work both independently and as part of a team
• Agile learner with the ability to develop in-depth technical knowledge on diverse topics
• Resilient, with a strong desire to succeed
• Foreign language skills are desirable
