Job description / Role
Charterhouse is working with a UK headquartered law firm who is looking to hire a Construction Disputes Solicitor to join its leading offering in Dubai. The firm would be interested in a high quality Senior Associate / Counsel level hire with 8 PQE +, with a particular focus / background in international arbitration work and an existing network / client contacts to develop.
You will be responsible for working closely with the construction partners in the firm’s Dubai office, as well as part of the wider international network. The firm has an excellent reputation in relation to construction work with an existing client-base gained over many years in the market. This is an excellent opportunity to join an established law firm in the Dubai market at a Senior Associate / Counsel level, with a view to playing a lead role in the conduct of cases, particularly in the international arbitration forums. This is an opportunity to play a key role as part of a small team, where you will be actively involved with business and client development with superb prospects for continued career and practice development.
Requirements
The successful candidate should be a common law qualified construction litigation & international arbitration solicitor with 8 years + high quality experience gained at an international / legal directories ranked law firm and experience of dealing with back end construction matters / familiarity with the suites of documents. There is an interest in an individual who is interested to be involved in client and business development, with some form of existing network which you are looking to develop further. The work will involve acting for high profile clients and complex matters, so demonstrable experience of leading on sizeable disputes is essential, combined with excellent academics. Arabic language skills are not required. The firm is interested in speaking to Lawyers with well-regarded firms in the UAE / Middle East or open to relocate from the UK, Australia or New Zealand.
