Job description / Role
Our client, an Oil and Gas company is currently looking for Construction Engineers – Chinese Speaker to supervise overall construction progress at site in conformance with the project specifications.
Job Responsibilities:
- Supervises overall construction progress at site in conformance with the project specifications.
- Coordination with other disciplines in the Operation and Maintenance to the smooth starts up of the work.
- Attends weekly progress meeting and suggests measures to enhance productivity and progress in a timely and safe manner.
- Prepares Punch lists to be rectified by the contractor and later inspects with the QA/QC personnel prior to the signing of relevant hand-over certificates of the area.
- Assist on the preparation of snag list, as-built drawings, and Dossier submittals to acquire Completion Certificate.
- Conducts daily site inspection to ensure Contractors and subcontractors are complying with the required standard procedure of work as per submitted method statements (MS) and follows all mitigations mentioned in the Job Safety Analysis (JSA).
- Take a proactive approach to the health, safety and welfare of all employees.
- Review Monthly invoices, method statements, Risk assessments, and material submittals
Requirements
Requirements Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering
- Minimum 4 years of experience in Oil and Gas industry
- Experience in managing the delivery of complex high value contracts
- Demonstrable skills in dealing and working closely with contractors
- Proven ability to manage and record project progress and reports
- Strong written and oral communication skills in English.
- A competency level of computer literacy in the more common applications
- Excellent communication skills
