Construction Manager

Job description / Role

Our client, a well known construction company, is urgently looking for a Construction Manager to be based in the UAE. In this role, you will have the following responsibilities:

• As in-charge of planning, coordinating, controlling and executing all construction activities in the project
• Attend the meetings with Client, consultant, subcontractors and relevant authorities
• Prepare the construction plan and control the entire project
• Ensure Heavy lifting equipment’s are well maintained, examined and appropriate for use and safety
• Check the load integrity & stability, welding and surveying results are satisfactory
• Ensure that people involved are competent for performing their task, aware of the task and procedures to be followed, and aware of their responsibilities
• Control the supervisors in the project site
• ensure all necessary test certificates and other documents are available
• Ensure all other statutory requirements and any necessary work permits are in place
• Briefs the employees who are involved in work
• Manage all the jobs and issues related with the project as and when required.

Requirements

• At least Degree or 3 year Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
• Adequate training and hands on professional experience and be competent to act
• Be able to write Lifting plans, supervise and execute critical lifting in Oil & Gas companies
• Focus on HSE priorities and lead a team of engineers for Safe Lifting Practices
• Familiar with international standard related to Lifting engineering practices with sufficient knowledge in interpretation and to bring excellence in change management
• Relevant Oil & Gas offshore and onshore lifting related experience of not less than 20 years in the same area of application with 5 years in a similar position
