Construction Manager - Northern Emirates, UAE

POSITION OVERVIEW:
The Construction Manager is responsible for exercising technical expertise in the construction engineering field, within major road construction projects. The incumbent employs exceptional construction knowledge and specialization in several fields of construction engineering.

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Leads the Construction Management Team of multiple road construction packages.
• Undertakes responsibility for overseeing the construction management and construction supervision of various construction packages. Manages and coordinates with project Resident Engineers.
• Coordinates among supervision consultant, contractors, airport personnel, design personnel, and others.
• Coordinates the resolution of construction problems.
• Participates in procurement / tender evaluations.
• Supervises the preparation of construction procedures and reporting.
• Performs other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate.

Requirements

• Degree in Civil Engineering.
• Preferably with Professional Engineering Registration, License and/or Certification.
• At least 20 - 25 years of construction supervision experience in major roads, utilities, and road structures projects.
• Significant experience handling road projects in mountainous / hilly areas.
• Completed at least 2 relevant projects in United Arab Emirates as a Resident Engineer or Construction Manager.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills in Arabic.
• Excellent construction management and supervision skills.
