Construction Planner

Job description / Role

Leading Architectural firm require a Construction Planner to work on site of large scale retail project in Dubai. Project is fast track natured, 6 days per week and thus is looking for experienced planning professional to assist the RE to drive project to successful completion.

This person will be responsible for:

• Review project milestones and contract requirements
• Prepare project schedule based on the project timeframes
• Review, identify, and advise project manpower, equipment, and other resource requirements
• Prepare and ensure master program of work and critical milestones are achieved
• Ensure effective planning and monitoring of site progress
• Ensure that all contractual and local authority requirements for quality, health safety, & environment (HSE) are complied with
• (Coordinating with Employer / Consultant for revision of construction schedule or recovery schedule for slippage as necessary
• Preparing, and implementing corrective actions / recovery program to arrest slippages
• Develop look ahead program and identify resource requirements of manpower, equipments, and materials
• Coordinate with RE for construction schedule, resource requirements, procurement, and subcontracting
• Coordinate with subcontractor to finalize planning requirements and coordination between different activities
• Attend meetings with the client, contractor and subbies & clarify planning strategies
• Analyze productivity data and report to RE as necessary
• Tracking daily progress together with RE on a regular basis
• Preparation, and submission of daily, weekly, and monthly progress reports to Employer / Consultant on regular basis
• Coordinating for the project close out to Client
• Identify and record delay events that are happening and submit extension of time claim if necessary

Requirements

• This professional will have 10 years experience, ideally in the UAE working on largescale build projects.
• Degree in Construction/Civil Engineering is required, with exposure to Retail Mall projects required.
• Excellent use of Primavera, organizational abilities and ability to work autonomously under fast track project conditions Essential.
• Consultancy experience in the UAE highly advantageous, however client will consider someone from contracting background too.
• Excellent written and oral English communication skills and presentation is required.
