Construction Site Engineer

Job description / Role

We are seeking a highly disciplined and detail-oriented Site Audit Engineer to join our team for a multi-cluster residential project. This is an independent, evidence-based field audit role focused on ensuring the integrity of contractor reporting across three critical areas: Manpower, Construction Progress, and Cleaning Compliance.

The successful candidate will move beyond "impression-based" assessments to deliver structured, data-backed reporting that identifies discrepancies, detects resource manipulation, and links actual productivity to deployed resources.

Key Responsibilities
Manpower & Attendance Audit
• Perform daily, unannounced spot checks and headcount verification across different clusters and time intervals.
• Reconcile actual on-site presence against contractor-submitted gate logs, entry/exit records, and attendance sheets.
• Identify and document common manipulations, including duplicate IDs, double counting, cross-cluster registration, and inflated headcounts.
• Maintain a comprehensive Manpower Discrepancy Log.

Site Progress & Productivity Audit
• Conduct field measurements for Civil, Structural, and MEP works to verify actual progress against the approved Baseline Schedule (Primavera P6/MS Project).
• Review daily/weekly progress reports and identify deviations, risks, and bottlenecks.
• Create linkage summaries comparing manpower deployed vs. actual progress achieved to analyze true productivity.

Cleaning & Damage Assessment Audit
• Verify contractor compliance with the approved deep cleaning methodology, schedules, and the suitability of chemicals/tools used.
• Conduct technical inspections to document surface damage and issue professional assessments to determine the source (Construction-related vs. Cleaning-related).

Required Skills & Qualifications
• Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Civil, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering.
• Experience: Minimum field experience in multi-unit construction projects (e.g., Villas / Multi-Clusters).
• Audit Expertise: Proven ability to perform evidence-based audits with strict neutrality and professional integrity.

Technical Knowledge:
• Strong understanding of WBS, Milestones, and Look-Ahead schedules.
• Proficiency in measuring site progress across Civil, Structural, and MEP disciplines.

Software Requirements:
• MS Excel (Advanced): Pivot tables, dashboards, and data validation for reconciliation.
• Scheduling Tools: Ability to read and analyze Primavera P6 or MS Project.
• Professional reporting skills using MS Word and PowerPoint.

Main Deliverables
• Weekly, monthly, and final professional audit reports.
• Evidence Logs: Comprehensive photo records and documented site evidence.
• Discrepancy & Variance Logs: Tracking reported vs. actual data for manpower and progress.
• CAPA Recommendations: Providing Corrective and Preventive Action strategies to the management.

Salary:
AED 8,000 to 10,000 per month inclusive of fixed allowances.
