Job description / Role
A leading international EPC contractor who specialises in a wide range of activities in refineries, gas and petrochemical plants, providing design and construction services are currently looking to recruit a Construction Superintendent (Civil) for their UAE business.
Role;
• General management (Construction, QC, HSE, Material, Manpower, Budget etc.)
• Overall manpower management working with Supervisors (Controlling direct hired labors)
• In charge with construction supervision activities for the relevant disciplines.
• Ensure the allocation of construction work hours to relevant cost codes and prepare weekly construction progress reports to measure actual versus planned progress for all phases of the direct construction work.
• Responsible in obtaining all necessary resources, materials,
and engineering deliverables for the successful execution of the Project.
The duties and responsibilities of the Superintendent includes,
but are not limited to the following:
• Perform construction activities in accordance with schedule and all technical requirements.
• Coordinate with Field Engineers and arrange construction activities during execution.
• Support planning manager on budget changes depending on the changes of construction quantity.
• Monitoring and Supporting on punch clear activity of all civil construction works.
Requirements
• An Engineering Degree/Bachelor’s Degree Holder
• More than 12 years experience in the Construction Industry
• A minimum of 10 years experience working as a Civil Construction Superintendent in Oil & Gas Projects
• At least 5 years experience working as a Civil Construction Superintendent in the Middle East countries
• Strong technical background in Civil works, Testing and supporting QC and other activities to handover complete civil works.
• Direct Construction work experience is a Must
• Having leadership quality to manage direct manpower on site and deliver the planned progress.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills (English)
