We are looking for an acoustics consultant to join our Middle East Acoustic team (Based in UAE) who is keen to further develop a growing and successful business. The candidate should have a degree in acoustics or a related subject. Experience in acoustic design, particularly architectural, building services and environmental work and knowledge of current standards and procedures would be an advantage. Experience in architectural software like Autodesk and Sketchup. Experience with acoustic software would be an advantage (CADNA, EASE, Odeon, Sound Design, Insul). Membership of the Institute of Acoustics or a similar professional body is preferred. Site testing experience for environmental and building acoustic testings.
The candidate will have the opportunity to work on major sector projects including large infrastructure, hospitality, commercial, industrial, and residential. All deliverables produced shall comply with WSP standards and procedures.
Your new role, what's involved?
* Delivering acoustic consultancy projects to private and public sector clients;
* Undertaking acoustic surveys and field measurements, data analysis, and reporting of architectural, building services, and environmental assessment in the Middle East region;
* Undertaking acoustic calculations, and modelling throughout the different project stages;
* Preparing technical reports suitable for submission to clients;
* Providing acoustic inputs to master plans and environmental impact studies.

* Attend to team and project needs as required, and respond within agreed timeframes.
* Ensure that Health & Safety is embedded into all work practices in line with company policies
* Develop expertise and stay abreast of developments in a relevant technical field
* Identify improvements (where possible) to enhance WSP in India ME service to clients
Requirements

Health & Safety
We'd love to hear from you if you have:
* Minimum 3 years of experience working in the acoustic field.
* Knowledge of architectural acoustics, mechanical HVAC noise control design and vibration isolation is required
* Experience with sound and vibration measurement instruments and modelling software (e.g., CADNA, INSUL, ODEON, CATT, EASE, Sound design, etc.) is required
* Knowledge of Autodesk and Sketch Up Software would be an advantage;
* Excellent quantitative and analytical skills, and proven ability to communicate results orally and in writing;
* Bachelor's degree in acoustic or engineering discipline required other advanced degree preferred;
* Membership of the IOA (or similar organisation) is preferred;
* Ability to liaise with a wide range of people - from high-level developers through to site workers;
* Ability to work as a valued team member with architects, MEP and Structural Engineers;
* Able to determine a Client's requirements;
* Ability to work on projects with minimal supervision;
* Be eager and willing to learn new skills and subjects;
* Be able to efficiently plan, prioritise, act, and integrate activities into client and WSP systems, programs, and processes;
* Communicate and work cross-functionally with all levels of management and technical functions;
* Work effectively within a global client organisation, be flexible, diplomatic, and entrepreneurial;
* A willingness to travel to overseas countries within the region; and
* Clean driver's license.
