Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

• Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients with traumatic brain injuries, utilizing advanced neuropsychological testing to tailor rehabilitation plans.
• Rapidly assess and stabilize patients in critical condition, making quick decisions under pressure to ensure optimal outcomes.
• Perform advanced medical procedures, such as intubation and chest tube insertion, with precision and confidence in high-stress environments.
• Collaborate seamlessly with multidisciplinary teams, including nurses and specialists, to deliver comprehensive emergency care.
• Utilize state-of-the-art diagnostic equipment to interpret lab results and imaging studies for accurate treatment planning.
• Manage trauma cases by prioritizing interventions based on the severity of injuries while providing emotional support to patients and families.
• Maintain accurate and thorough documentation of patient encounters, treatment plans, and outcomes to ensure continuity of care.
• Educate and guide junior medical staff and interns, fostering an environment of learning and professional growth in emergency medicine.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives and clinical research to advance the standards of care and contribute to medical knowledge.
• Stay updated on emerging trends and technologies in emergency medicine to enhance patient care and operational efficiency.
• Respond promptly to mass casualty incidents or disasters, effectively leading triage efforts and coordinating resources.
• Conduct comprehensive evaluations and diagnose complex gastrointestinal disorders through advanced endoscopic techniques.
• Develop and implement personalized treatment plans, ensuring a multidisciplinary approach for optimal patient outcomes.
• Stay abreast of the latest research and advancements in gastroenterology to incorporate evidence-based practices into patient care.
• Perform routine and advanced procedures, including colonoscopies and upper GI endoscopies, while maintaining high safety standards.
• Educate patients and their families about gastrointestinal health, treatment options, and preventative measures to enhance their understanding and compliance.
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to enhance patient care and streamline treatment processes within the gastroenterology department.
• Participate in clinical audits and quality improvement initiatives to assess and enhance the standard of care provided to patients.
• Mentor and train junior doctors and medical students, sharing knowledge and fostering the next generation of gastroenterologists.
• Conduct comprehensive neurological examinations to diagnose conditions such as epilepsy, multiple sclerosis, and stroke with precision.
• Interpret electroencephalograms (EEGs), magnetic resonance imaging (MRIs), and other diagnostic tests to develop tailored treatment plans.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including physical therapists and psychologists, to ensure holistic patient care and optimized rehabilitation.
• Stay current with advancements in neurology through continuous education and participation in clinical trials for innovative treatment options.
• Educate patients and their families about neurological disorders, treatment options, and lifestyle changes to enhance quality of life.
• Perform minimally invasive procedures, such as lumbar punctures or botulinum toxin injections, to alleviate symptoms and improve patient outcomes.
• Manage chronic neurological conditions by adjusting treatment protocols based on patient responses and emerging research.
• Conduct research to contribute to the field of neurology, publishing findings in reputable journals and presenting at conferences.
• Supervise and train residents and medical students, fostering the next generation of neurologists through mentorship and guidance.
• Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and maintain accurate medical records to uphold the highest standards of patient care.

Requirements:

• MD or DO with specialized training in brain injury medicine, neurology, or rehabilitation medicine.
• MD or DO degree with a specialization in Emergency Medicine from an accredited institution.
• Board certification in Emergency Medicine, demonstrating expertise and commitment to the field.
• Minimum of 3 years of clinical experience in a busy emergency department, highlighting proficiency in acute care management.
• Familiarity with advanced life support protocols and emergency response systems, ensuring readiness for critical situations.
• Fluency in English; proficiency in additional languages is a strong advantage for diverse patient interactions.
• Strong technical skills in performing emergency procedures, such as suturing, splinting, and resuscitation techniques.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective patient care and teamwork in high-pressure scenarios.
• Medical degree (MD) with specialized training in gastroenterology from a recognized institution.
• Board certification in gastroenterology, showcasing proficiency and commitment to the field.
• Minimum of 5 years of relevant clinical experience in gastroenterology, ideally in a tertiary care setting.
• Proven track record of performing a wide range of endoscopic procedures with a high level of skill and safety.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to accurately diagnose and treat complex gastrointestinal conditions.
• Excellent communication skills, capable of conveying complex medical information clearly to patients and their families.
• Proficient in electronic medical records (EMR) systems and other healthcare technologies for efficient patient management.
• M.D. or D.O. degree with specialized training in neurology from an accredited institution.
• Board certification in neurology is mandatory to validate expertise and commitment to the field.
• A minimum of 3-5 years of clinical experience in neurology, with a focus on patient-centered care and evidence-based practices.
• Fluency in English; proficiency in additional languages is a plus to cater to diverse patient populations.
• Strong analytical skills to interpret complex diagnostic data and make informed clinical decisions.
• Exceptional communication abilities to effectively engage with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
• Demonstrated proficiency in using advanced medical technologies and software relevant to neurology.

Salary:
AED 45,000 to 95,000 per month inclusive of fixed allowances.
