Duties and Responsibilities:

All aspects of contractual management to ensure all contractual provisions related to the assigned project(s) are followed, monitored and closed out. The Contract Administrator will work with the design team, contractors, engineering, procurement and legal counterparties to oversee the work progress and compliance with all contractual commitments.
• Researching and preparing contractual correspondence and maintaining records necessary to ensure the effective administration of all contractual matters.
• Full range of post contract administration duties including monthly valuations for interim payments and associated data input to Prism/ERP software packages, dealing with variations and following through to ensure that contractual coverage is implemented.
• Claims and Counter Claims Management; provide advisory assistance on all aspects of contractual claims. Responsible for the management and identification of claims as they evolve, managing timely resolution under the change provisions where possible, obtaining legal expertise as appropriate.
• Management of final accounts including preparation, submission and agreement with client/Consultant and respective subcontractors.
• Preparation and issuance of Pre-Qualification documentation, Requests for Proposal documentation and Contract Documents for Design Agreements and Construction Agreements; negotiation and clarification of terms to prospective bidders, issuance of change bulletins during the tendering process, incorporation of amendments into final contract documentation, finalization of award and letting of contracts.
• Perform other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Quantity Surveying from an accredited University.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in contracts administration at large scale construction projects, managing all aspects of work flow, review, negotiation and execution of contracts involving contractors, subcontractors and suppliers.
• A QS accredited qualification (preferably RICS or equivalent) is preferred.
• Ability to manage diversified activities with multiple and competing requirements.
• Excellent verbal and written English communication skills.
• Knowledge of the aviation design and construction industry.
• Knowledge of construction contract language and provisions, strong negotiation skills, capacity to work autonomously.
