Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

Position Summary:
The Contracts Administrator will be responsible for managing and administrating contracts relating to AUS procurement activities and monitoring compliance with Supply Chain policies and procedures.

Job Responsibilities:
- Reviewing third-party contracts, terms and conditions, identifying areas of risk and producing reports on findings with recommendations on contractual terms.
- Developing, maintaining, reviewing and updating the library of model templates and precedents based on best industrial practices for the Procurement and Contracts Department.
- Preparing and processing contractual arrangements with third parties as per AUS procedures.
- Managing and securing projects interests with necessary bonds, warranties, insurances, undertakings, etc. until final discharge of obligations.
- Detecting and managing variations and changes to the contract in liaison with the Project Management office and preparing, demonstrating, negotiating and following up on final accounts, variations and claims, until settlement.
- Resolving any contractual disputes that arise with clients.
- Consulting and presenting to stakeholders at all levels, both internally and externally.
- Drafting, managing and administering AUS contracts.
- Developing and managing contractual issues related to time and cost implications, for all contractual arrangements.
- Maintaining accuracy in AUS online contracts management system on Banner.
- Managing all contracts for construction/renovation projects and confidently lead on construction.
- Monitoring and addressing contracts compliance issues.

Requirements

- Bachelor’s degree in business, law or civil engineering.
- Minimum 6 years’ experience in drafting and managing complex contracts, which includes construction, goods, services, annual maintenance contracts, etc.
- CIPS qualification (or equivalent in contract management).
- Knowledge of local commercial law.
- Excellent standards of written and verbal communication in English with knowledge of Arabic being an added advantage.
- Excellent negotiation skills.
- In-depth knowledge in managing construction projects and their related contracts.

Preferred Qualifications:
- FIDIC Certification
- PMP Certification
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in United Arab Emirates
