The power, process & nuclear division works within four main sectors which include the following: - nuclear, defence, industry and process and power civil's.

We are actively seeking a contract management specialist (contracts) to work onsite near Abu Dhabi. The successful candidates will have the opportunity to work within a specialist nuclear organisation.

Duties:
* Prime contract analysis of contractual obligations and entitlement
* Support and work collaboratively in prime contract management (pcm) team to integrate and streamline claims management with change management.
* Assist with contractual and commercial advice to PCM team for change and claims related issues on a regular basis.
* Assist with extensive, detailed contractual and commercial analysis of issues which may, or already have, cost and/or time impact on the prime contract.
* Assist with analysis to determine extent of culpability of each party to the prime contract and advise on contract/commercial risk to technical staff in a timely, concise manner.
* Claims and dispute resolution
* Ability to work independently on minor contentious and claim related matters and support senior specialists with more complex matters.
* Ensure defense mechanisms are in place to minimized risk of claims and disputes being pursued by the contractor.
* Identify and prepare owner initiated claims and/or development of counter-claims.
* Support negotiation of claims with prime contractor.
* Prepare presentations and reports on claims/dispute related issued for senior management, internal and external legal counsel and other external parties involved in the dispute resolution process.
* General commercial and contractual issues
* Familiar with application of prime contract obligations of both parties by reference to terms and conditions.
* Discussion and negotiation of contentious issues with prime contractor with a view to ensuring a non-adversarial resolution.
* Provide regular concise internal reporting of claims and dispute resolution issues relating to prime contract.
Liaise with internal subject matter experts to understand, analyse and process schedule related issues.
* Stakeholder engagement
* Facilitate communication both internally and externally in order to build and nurture mutually beneficial working relationships.
* Follow all relevant security policies, processes, procedures and instructions to ensure security compliance in all aspects of work, by applying them on individuals and information assets.

Requirements

* Bachelor's degree in quantity surveying, engineering, construction management or similar.
* Chartered member of a recognized professional institution such as RICS, CIOB, or ICE.
* Minimum 4 years relevant experience in construction industry with at least 2 years with exposure to construction claims
* International power or nuclear program experience. Previous experience of arbitration or other alternative dispute resolution process.
