NTS Group are working exclusively with a leading Dubai based company to recruit a Contracts Manager for the HQ.

Reporting to the COO, the Contracts Manager is responsible for the professional management of all Quantity Surveying, tendering and contracts carried out by the group and for ensuring the consistency, transparency and integrity of all tendering and contracting practices.

Process Management
- Ensures the development and regular review of new and/or improved standard operating procedures and standard forms (including revisions to standard consultancy and construction contracts). Prepares and maintains standard tender procedure guidelines.

Contract Management
- Manages interface with the development and finance departments to provide regular cost, payment and contract advice and assistance.
Contributes in managing interfaces with project managers, consultants and contractors etc. in identifying operating risks of each development to assist in the projects achievement of intended profit objectives.

Budget Management
- Coordinates with the consultant QS services on both major and minor projects, including cost estimates, cost plans, value engineering studies, bills of quantity, tender documents, contract documents, valuations, variations, cost reports, contractual claims and final accounts.

Contract Award Process
- Assists and facilitates the contract award of approval process including drafting of contracts, approving of contracts and issuance of final contracts. Participates in the tender committee meetings to ensure the implementation of standard operating procedures in line with company policy. Ensures the effective administration of tender, advance payment and performance bonds.

Document Management
- Upload and management of all awards, recommendations, contracts etc. in to the document management system

Requirements

- Associate membership of the Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors (RICS) or equivalent.
- B.Sc. in quantity surveying or equivalent from a recognised college/university
- Minimum 15 years quantity surveying general experience
- Minimum 5 years of local/Gulf experience preferably in a property development or consultancy environment
- Excellent knowledge of FDIC, Dubai Municipality, UAE construction laws
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
