Job description / Role
Our client, a governmental body is seeking a Contracts Manager to be based in Dubai. Must have 4- 6 years of experience within Contracts Management and Administration.
Responsibilities of the Contracts Manager
* Managing pre-award contract with an emphasis on pre-qualification and commercial bid evaluation, request for proposals, short listing of bidders, negotiating, drafting and placement of contract award
* Prepares Bidder List Report for Tender Committee approval o Prepares Request for Proposals (RFP)
* Monitors bidders' activities on each tender to ensure effective communication takes place in order to obtain responsive bids and result in a successful tender,
* Conducting commercial Evaluations and Benchmarking o Prepares Award Reports for Tender Committee approval
* Prepares various types of Contracts preparation (agreement, work service orders, Purchase orders) o Administer the flow of contract documents to ensure that all issued contracts have been signed by both parties in a timely manner and that awarded contractors/providers submit every contractual requirement which includes but not limited to:
* Post-award contract management and administration in the areas of contract variation, renewals, termination.
* Maintain and update weekly reports to ensure constant status updates on each assigned case.
* Maintain and improve a contracting data base for a contracting steps and activities, from initial request of service through award.
* Coordinate with internal users and job officers to support all activities and processes by applying contract management best-practice tools, and techniques, in accordance with standards and procedures
Requirements
* The Contracts Manager must have regional exposure, managing suppliers.
* Understands the cost complex structure, managing set and contract budgets.
* Ideally have 4-6 years of Contract Management with a Procurement understanding.
