Coordinating Civil Engineer

Job description / Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Coordinating Civil Engineer to join our dynamic construction team in Abu Dhabi. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing and coordinating all civil engineering aspects of construction projects to ensure timely delivery, quality, and compliance with safety standards.

Responsibilities:
- Coordinate civil engineering activities across multiple projects to ensure alignment with project goals and timelines.
- Collaborate closely with architects, contractors, and other engineering disciplines to facilitate seamless project execution.
- Review and approve engineering designs, plans, and specifications to ensure accuracy and compliance with local regulations and standards.
- Monitor construction progress on-site and provide technical guidance to resolve issues promptly.
- Ensure all civil engineering works comply with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
- Prepare detailed reports and documentation for project stakeholders and management.
- Assist in procurement and evaluation of materials and subcontractors related to civil engineering tasks.

- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field from an accredited institution.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in civil engineering within the construction industry, preferably with coordinating responsibilities.
- Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and regulations specific to the UAE market.
- Excellent project management and organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Proficient in engineering software and tools relevant to civil design and project coordination.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with diverse teams.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines while maintaining high-quality standards.
- Fluency in English;.
- Professional engineering certification or membership in relevant engineering bodies is preferred.
