Copper Plating Operator

Job description / Role

This opportunity is with a Multinational company, a global leader specializing in advanced industrial products and services for the energy and mobility sectors into manufacturing of products in stainless steel and high-nickel alloy.

In this position you would be responsible for the following:
- Operate and monitor electroplating equipment and processes to coat products with copper, ensuring adherence to specified thickness and quality standards.
- Prepare parts and components for plating, including cleaning, rinsing, and surface preparation according to established procedures.
- Mix and prepare plating solutions and chemicals, maintaining proper concentrations and conditions for optimal plating results.
- Conduct inspections of plated products to verify adherence to specifications and quality requirements.
- Troubleshoot equipment and process issues as they arise, performing adjustments and maintenance to ensure continuous operation.
- Follow safety protocols and procedures to maintain a safe working environment and prevent accidents or chemical exposures.
- Document operational data, including plating parameters, inspection results, and chemical usage, accurately and in a timely manner.
- Collaborate with engineering and quality assurance teams to address any quality issues, implement corrective actions, and improve process efficiency.
- Adhere to environmental regulations and best practices for chemical handling, waste disposal, and pollution prevention in electroplating operations.

To be successful you would ideally possess:
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in a manufacturing environment, with at least 2 years specifically in a copper plating industry.
- Proven experience in electroplating operations, preferably with expertise in copper plating processes.
- Knowledge of chemical handling, safety protocols, and environmental regulations related to electroplating operations.
- Ability to read and interpret technical documents, specifications, and instructions.
- Strong attention to detail and quality with a commitment to producing high-quality plated products.
- Mechanical aptitude and ability to troubleshoot equipment and process issues effectively.
- Good communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Bachelor degree or equivalent; additional technical training or certifications in electroplating is a plus.
