Cost Accountant

We are currently working on behalf of a well-established holding group to secure a cost accountant with preferably previous beverage manufacturing experience.

The Cost Accountant will be responsible for:

• Analyzing actual manufacturing costs and preparing periodic reports comparing standard costs to actual production costs
• Project wise profitability reporting and Prepare Cost report at month closing and regularly coordinate with other departments for updating projects Actual vs budget Analysis
• Analyzing audits of costs and preparing reports
• Analyzing actual manufacturing costs and preparing periodic reports comparing standard costs to actual production costs
• Planning, Studying, and collecting data to determine costs of business activity such as raw material purchases, inventory and labour, Work-in-Process and Finished Goods inventories.
• Identifying areas of cost optimization and reduction
• Assist in Implementation of controls as per policies and procedures
• Design, Develop, implement and manage Costing & Inventory procedures, policies, parameters and reports.
• Assist in monthly provisions and accruals
• Assist for Internal and External Audit requirements.

Requirements

• Bachelor Degree in Accounting/Commerce/Finance
• Cost and Management Accountant

Experience / Knowledge:
• Minimum of 4 solid years of Cost Accounting in FMCG and Manufacturing (Preferably from a beverage manufacturing background)
• Good knowledge of ERP systems as well MS Office.
• Audit firm experience an advantage
• Ability to accurately prepare daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual reports

Abilities / Qualities:
• Good understanding of Cost Centers, Inventory management, Work in process and project profitability (in manufacturing environment)
• Ability to work cooperatively and collaboratively with all levels of employees, management to maximize performance, creativity, problem solving, and results.-Must have a strong Cost systems background and have excellent analytical skills; sound understanding of accounting principles.
