We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Cost Analyst to join our dynamic team in the construction industry in Dubai, UAE. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in monitoring and controlling project costs, ensuring that financial targets are met while maintaining high standards of quality and efficiency. This position requires a strong understanding of construction processes, cost management techniques, and the ability to provide insightful financial analysis to support decision-making. Responsibilities:
• Conduct detailed analysis of project costs and financial performance, including labor, materials, equipment, and overhead expenses.
• Prepare and maintain accurate cost estimates and budgets for construction projects.
• Monitor project expenditures and identify cost variances, providing recommendations for corrective actions.
• Assist project managers in the preparation of financial reports and forecasts, ensuring timely reporting of project financials.
• Collaborate with procurement and finance teams to ensure accurate cost tracking and reporting.
• Identify cost-saving opportunities and implement best practices for cost management throughout the project lifecycle.
• Support the preparation of bid proposals and tender submissions by providing detailed cost breakdowns.
• Evaluate the financial implications of changes in project scope and develop strategies to mitigate risks.
• Provide financial insights and guidance to senior management for strategic planning and investment decisions.
• Stay updated with industry trends and regulations affecting cost management in the construction sector.
Requirements:
• Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting
• Proven experience as a Cost Analyst or in a similar role within the construction industry.
• Strong knowledge of cost management principles and techniques, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.
• Proficiency in using cost management software and tools, as well as Microsoft Excel for data analysis.
• Excellent analytical skills with a strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and communicate effectively with stakeholders.
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
• Knowledge of construction processes, contracts, and regulations is highly desirable.
• Fluency in English; knowledge of Arabic is a plus.
• Professional certifications such as Certified Cost Professional (CCP) or similar are an advantage.
