Cost Control Engineer

Job description / Role

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Cost Control Engineer to join our dynamic construction team in Dubai. The successful candidate will play a vital role in monitoring and controlling project costs to ensure financial efficiency and timely delivery of construction projects.

Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain cost control procedures and systems for construction projects.
- Prepare detailed cost estimates, budgets, and forecasts.
- Monitor project expenditures and identify cost-saving opportunities.
- Analyze cost variances and provide recommendations to project management.
- Coordinate with project managers, quantity surveyors, and finance teams to ensure accurate cost reporting.
- Prepare monthly cost reports and support project financial reviews.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and industry standards related to cost management.
- Assist in risk assessment related to project costs and support contract management.

- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
- Minimum 7 years of experience in UAE construction projects preferably in High Rise projects
- Proven experience as a Cost Control Engineer in the construction industry.
- Strong understanding of construction cost control methodologies and financial principles.
- Proficiency in cost control software and MS Office Suite.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Attention to detail with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
- Fluency in English; knowledge of Arabic is a plus.
- Willingness to work in Dubai, UAE, and adapt to multicultural teams.
