Job Title Cost Controller – E

Unit Industrial Zones

Accountable To

- To execute day-to-day operations relating to Kizad necessary for the effective and successful delivery of major capital project.

Responsible for

Core Responsibilities:

· Provide robust detailed project planning to Sr. Manager TI& FM in the effective delivery of project objectives.
· Manage all vertical and horizontal integration between all elements of the project plan.
· Identify, manage and control all third party interfaces with in the project plan.
· Develop modelling and measuring techniques to integrate risk and opportunities into the project plan and schedule.
· Perform time phased predictive analysis, critical path verification and schedule risk assessments to assure the capability of the project to meet its commitments.
· Identifies and resolves schedule conflicts, develops and implements work around strategies and tactical alternatives.
· Utilise performance metrics to drive actions resulting in improved Kizad.
· Maintenance of the Kizad performance measurement baseline.
· Analyse contractor submitted baselines and advise Sr. Manger TI& FM on approval status.
· Liaise with Sr. Manger TI& FM to validate contractor’s monthly progress.
· Provide the necessary actions to define and coordinate all of the work package plans included within the project plan
· Ensure consistent application, effective and timely delivery of Kizad Procedures.
· Define, communicate and obtain all the necessary planning information from contractors and suppliers for each work package within the Kizad.
· Preparation of project monthly progress reports.
· Analyse and report variances in planned versus actual progress in each month’s report and support the team in identifying resultant recovery actions.

Working Relationship

· Reporting To: Sr. Manager - Technical Interface & Facility Management
· Key Internal Contacts: Sr. Technical Interface & FM /Project manager

Purpose of Interaction

· To provide timely, accurate management information to project manager in order to facilitate effective decision making.
· To propose mitigation measures in order to safeguard the effective performance of project progress.
· Key External Contacts:

Purpose of Interaction

· To identify all interfaces between parties in respect of access to work fronts, required completion dates for phased civil infrastructure works, installation / testing / commissioning programme for cargo handling equipment.
· To develop a coordinated handover plan to optimize achieving the project objectives.

People Management Responsibilities:

· To build effective relationships with AD Ports internal customers, management, contractors and suppliers in order to ensure that project information is collated, structured and presented in an appropriate manner.

Requirements

Qualifications/Experience/Competencies

· Degree in Engineering or equivalent
· English (written and spoken)
· 10 years minimum construction industry experience in Planning / Project Controls.
· Experience in Planning of projects.
· Competence in use of Primavera P6.
