Country Credit Risk Manager - UAE

Our client is a leading American multinational organization, specializing in technology distribution. They are seeking to expand their workforce and are looking to hire an experienced Country Credit Risk Manager for both their UAE and KSA facilities.

Client Details
The organization is a joint venture, with over 30 years of experience in 70+ countries. Their global annual turnover surpasses US$4 billion, and their Middle East annual turnover generates a respective, US$200 million. They have decided to restructure their Finance department and are seeking a 'Country Credit Risk Manager' to fill this vacancy.

The Country Credit Risk Manager will be responsible for:

Credit Risk (50%):
* Assessing the creditworthiness of potential customers
* Perform an in-depth analysis of financial statements and credit requests for both new and existing credit applications
* Ensuring timely and accurate processing of credit applications; highlighting issues pertinent to credit decisions
* Provide suggestions for improvement and implement policies based on the credit risk analysis performed
* Provide suggestions to mitigate identified risks

Credit Control (40%):
* Establishing the terms and conditions of credit
* Formulation of credit policies to mitigate identified and potential risks
* Routinely reviewing and negotiating procedures to reduce debtor days
* Review and maintain bad debt provision
* Preparation of journal entries and credit notes for month-end reports

Team and Staff Management (20%):
* Must display exceptional communication and problem-solving skills
* Support and supervise the credit control team and debt collection teams

Requirements

The ideal Credit Risk professional will have:

* A bachelor's degree, preferably within an Accounting and Finance discipline
* At least 8-12 years of experience in a Credit Risk Management role
* Previous experience in credit risk management from a credit rating or a services-oriented establishment
* Solid understanding of fundamental credit risk management concepts
* Exemplary communication and presentation skills
* Willingness to travel when required
* Ability to motivate and drive a newly formed credit collections team
