We are seeking a dedicated and proactive cover supervisor with an immediate start to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will be responsible for supervising classes during the absence of teachers, ensuring that students remain engaged and on task with their learning activities. This role is essential in maintaining continuity and high standards of education at GEMS FirstPoint School.

Skills

• Supervise students in the absence of their regular teacher.
• Deliver pre-prepared lesson plans and ensure students remain focused on their work.
• Manage classroom behavior and maintain a positive learning environment.
• Provide support and assistance to students as needed.
• Report any issues or concerns to the appropriate school staff.
• Ensure the safety and well-being of all students during class time.
• Assist with administrative tasks and other duties as required.

Qualifications and experience

• Bachelor's degree in education or a related field is preferred.
• Previous experience in a similar role or in an educational setting is an advantage.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to manage a classroom and maintain discipline.
• Flexibility and adaptability to changing situations.
• A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
