Crane Rigger Operator

Job description / Role

Key responsibilities

Operate various types of cranes including mobile, tower, and overhead cranes to lift and move heavy materials and equipment.

Perform pre-operation inspections and maintenance checks on cranes to ensure safe and efficient operation.

Rig and secure loads using appropriate lifting and rigging techniques.

Troubleshoot and resolve any mechanical issues with cranes.

Train and mentor junior crane operators and riggers.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of experience operating cranes in a construction or industrial environment.
• Valid crane operator certification.
• Strong understanding of rigging techniques and equipment.
• Knowledge of safety regulations and procedures related to crane operations.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and rigging plans.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Physically fit and able to work in a variety of weather conditions.
