Role purpose
Provide full support to branches and DSUs by reviewing and processing proposed finance applications in a timely fashion and within approved policies.
Key accountabilities of the role
- Examine credit applications for completeness and timeliness of information, noting exceptions for correction.
- Prepare error-free credit documents.
- Exercise vigilance in applying duplicate checks.
- Observe agreed turnaround times.
- Ensure compliance with policies and satisfactory risk rating.
- Analyze bank statements to assess genuineness, continuity, business turnovers, cheque returns, average balances, and detect any artificial fabrication.
- Analyze applicant's financial statements and comment on findings where required.
- Check customer's status through duplicate checks and CBRB.
- Meet the minimum daily targets assigned by management while maintaining the lowest level of errors as measured by the scorecard.
- Escalate cases requiring higher decision power with full analysis and recommendations to facilitate decision making.
- Demonstrate full and up-to-date knowledge of ADIB's products, policies, and procedures.
- Proactively and continually recommend system changes and enhancements; ensure that all procedures and policies are implemented and followed in compliance with the organization.
- Demonstrate full team spirit and a positive attitude.
- Perform any other responsibilities entrusted by ADIB management from time to time and any other tasks assigned by management.
Results required
- Support business in achieving monthly budget and targets while maintaining the highest quality portfolio.
- Provide additional support to business in capturing customers within acceptable parameters without violating CB regulations.
- Contribute positively to daily underwriting activities.
- Improve communication with branches and DSUs as internal customers.
- Provide constructive comments and feedback on proposed finance applications.
- Ensure compliance with policies and procedures; comply with and perform key operational controls as required in ADIB's policies and procedures in day-to-day operations.
Specialist skills / technical knowledge required for this role
- Good credit and analytical skills and knowledge.
- Minimum 3 years of practical banking experience, preferably in the finance and credit field.
- Detailed knowledge of ADIB's retail banking credit products and services.
- Broad knowledge of ADIB's retail credit and operational policies and procedures.
- Good knowledge of UAE banking practices, regulations, and risks.
- Good communication skills.
- Good computer skills.
- Attention to detail in documentation.
- Strong command of Arabic and English languages.
