Job description / Role
Job Purpose: Primarily responsible for spreading financial statements and analyzing financial condition of new borrowers and assigned accounts. Apply Uniform Credit Culture (UCC) training to develop superior insight into counter-party credit risk. Accounts will cover primarily corporate clients.
Main Tasks and Responsibilities
Financial Spreads
- Initiate financial spreads according to ADCB’s spreading manual
- Work with line managers /RMs and Credit to arrive at appropriate risk rating
- Generate MRA risk ratings to update and maintain portfolio MRA ratings current
Credit Applications Limit Reviews
- Research industry/competitors and gather background information on borrower including products, management etc…
- Analyze credit metrics on accounts as scheduled
- Support Line Manager processing CA’s and reply to internal queries quickly
- Follow media and news outlets (Zawya, Bloomberg, newspapers ) to understand market trends and business drivers that impact the accounts
Covenant Compliance
- Analyze and assess covenant compliance (CACM) as applicable
Communication
- Share best practices with other peers and colleagues
- Contribute to positive environment to support commitment of team in achieving / exceeding defined goals
Various
- Answer Internal Audit / Credit queries
- Special projects and ad-hoc reports as required
- Monitor Individual performance MIS for BRD reports
Self Development
- Seek greater role responsibilities
- Prepare a self-development plan, agree it with Line Manager, and work progressively towards achieving it.
- Seek best practices from other peers and colleagues.
- Attend training sessions as planned by management. Implement knowledge / skills attained in carrying out.
Requirements
- Bachelors. Suitable for recent graduate, no credit experience to 1 year
- Evidence of progress towards ACA, CPA, CFA preferred
- Recent graduate to 1 year experience in a Credit / spreading related position covering:
- Working with/spreading financial statements
- Experience analysing company financial performance /economic data
- Good communication & writing skills a must
