Credit Controller

Job description / Role

Due to the sustained difficult market where customers are often slow to pay for their goods, we are looking for a number of credit controllers for our client in Dubai.

Responsibilities
• In control of payment from date of invoice being sent to the client to the moment it is paid
• Agree payment schedules & set credit limits
• Reduce DSO
• Coordinate the collection of cheques from clients
• Monitor the credit portfolio;
• Proactively identify delinquent accounts and promptly call the customers to prevent the accounts from having further late payments
• Meet clients face to face across the UAE, build relationships
• Interaction with sales managers in the company
• Produce regular weekly/monthly reports to show performance/trends etc. to bring in continuous process improvement.
• Reporting any bounced cheques to the Police

Salary:
AED 15,000 to 20,000 per month inclusive of fixed allowances.

Requirements

• Proactive, dynamic, energetic personality
• Able to demonstrate experience of reducing debtor days and previously adding value to credit control functions
• Experience in a good MNC company
• Strong in ERP & excel systems
• Fluent in English
• At least 5-10 yrs experience in a senior credit control role, with a minimum of 2 years in the UAE
• Candidates working in the financial services industry should NOT apply
• Excellent interpersonal skills, confident dealing with clients face to face
