Credit Controller

Job description / Role

- Working as part of a team providing a comprehensive, accurate and timely debt collection service to enhance the company's cash flow.
- Take overall responsibility for maintaining debtors database
- Strive towards collection targets set by credit control supervisor / manager
- Ensure debtors pay within their agreed payment term in the contract
- Proactively chase debtors regularly to ensure timely collection
- Assist with the reconciliation process; reconcile 100% of debtors ledger
- Identify and escalate information on debtors with potential risk to supervisor and / or manager
- Provide inputs for monthly management and performance reports
- Coordinate with BU to resolve any issues raised by debtors / attend client meetings
- Aim to achieve objectives on score card
- Assist credit control supervisor with forecast cash flow including variance analysis
- Perform any ad hoc tasks requested by supervisor / manager to high quality on a timely basis

Requirements

- College degree in accounting / finance preferred
- Full or part qualified recognized accountancy qualification / graduation in Accounting and Finance
- 35 years Years in a Similar Position
- Excellent communication skills both written and verbal (telephone manner) Minimum English Language Level 5 (by Transguard Group Standards)
- Proven track record for effective credit control
- Confident to attend client meetings to resolve queries / weekly BU meetings
- Good analytical and problem solving skills
- Ability to multitask
