Job description / Role
• To manage all Credit Control related tasks including; opening accounts, credit checks, chasing debt ,allocating payments, raising credit/debit notes, releasing orders, clearing queries and reconciling invoices
• Establish AR work standards, develop objectives and design/maintain effective work-flows and operating procedures
• Managing the legal process for the recovery of debt, actively chasing debt as and when required is able to take the lead in reviewing the more complex and or difficult accounts
• Development of structured methods to reduce aged debts and continuous reduction of the debtor days in order to improve the overall company’s working capital
• Ensure monthly aged debt review meetings are conducted with commercial team
• Printing invoice on daily basis, verifying and authorizing the same.
• Handing over the invoices to commercial and customer for following up for payments
• Provide support to the planning team in terms cash collection for budgeting and forecasting purposes
• Ensure credit control disciplines are maintained and adhered to in regard to credit limits and credit procedures and policies, identifying opportunities and facilitating continual process improvement and regular one-to-one interaction with all team members
Requirements
• Minimum BA degree in Accounting / Finance, Master’s degree is highly preferable
• Professional qualification such as ICWA or CIMA is a must
• Minimum 5 years post grad experience
• Experience in Food Manufacturing, Agriculture, FMCG
• Strong knowledge of ERP systems (SAP is essential)
• GCC experience is essential
