Job description / Role

Objectives: To have good knowledge with visas, arranging hotel, transportation for the Crew and handling ships spares clearance.

Reporting to: Senior Supervisor

Main responsibilities:
• Responsible supporting Senior Supervisor for effectively and efficiently managing all visa, accommodation and transport related requirements for personnel / crew arriving or departing in Dubai airport.
• Close coordination with Senior Supervisors (Crew Team) to ensure that all principal / vessel requirements related to visa, accommodation and transport are met according to customer instructions and Kanoo Shipping Operational Procedures
• Responsible for ensuring effective implementation / compliance of Management Requirements as per Kanoo Shipping Operational / Quality / HSSE Procedures and Policies
• Monitor suppliers to ensure Kanoo Shipping Operational / Quality / HSSE / Accounting requirements are strictly complied at all times
• Responsible for preparing / maintaining accurate / updated Daily Crew Movement List and Vessel Check List
• Responsible for coordinating with suppliers to ensure required services are booked and provided as and when required
• Responsible for monitoring suppliers to ensure kanoo Shipping Operational / Quality / HSSE / Accounting requirements are strictly complied at all times
• Ensure complaints, procedure and safety related issues are reported to Senior Supervisor.
• Responsible for opening and updating Agency Now call file for crew / personnel related information on a timely basis as per procedure
• Carry out supplier performance re-evaluation
• Responsible for improvement of performance in carrying out responsibilities to achieve customer requirements
• Prepares documents required for relevant visa applications of all types
• Responsible for providing timely and accurate PO numbers to suppliers
• Timely and accurate encoding of PO Numbers and Principal Names as required in Crew Care invoices
• Responsible for improvement of performance in carrying out responsibilities to achieve customer requirements.

Requirements

• Knowledge in all kinds of shipping visa formalities, hotel and transport arrangements.
• Can handle ships spares clearance.
• Good communication skills, strong personality with self-confidence person.
• Highly motivated and hard worker candidate.
• Good knowledge on usage of MS office/ Analyzing and Planning.

About the Company

Established in 1890, Yusuf Bin Ahmed Kanoo (YBA Kanoo) started from a humble trading and shipping enterprise founded in Bahrain by Haji Yusuf Bin Ahmed Kanoo. From Bahrain, the business spread to Saudi Arabia in the 1930s.

No one could have predicted that it would challenge the monopoly of long established British companies and goes on to become the largest regional shipping agency in the Middle East. Kanoo Shipping is one of the founders of S5 Agency World Ltd. and was the first Arab shipping agency in the region in 1911. At present, Kanoo Shipping operates in 20 countries and in all principal ports and offshore tanker loading terminals around the Arabian Peninsula, including Iraq. It handles 11,000 port calls every year which covers all ports in the Suez to India range.

The historic rise of Kanoo Travel has proven similarly impressive. The group's interest in travel started in 1937 when the company used to provide refueling facilities for Imperial Airline sea-planes en route to India and Australia. In 1947, Kanoo Travel became the first IATA agency in the Gulf and became the very first travel company in the Middle East to receive the ISO certification in 1997.
