Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

• Administer the planning and rotation scheme for all offshore crew by contacting crew directly, or via manning agents.
• Responsible for editing / maintaining / updating crew movements in Ship Manager for all offshore personnel assigned to them.
• Ensure that all valid documents are scanned, and stored.
• Ensure that accurate and timely information is passed to relevant departments, agencies, and crew members in connection with crewing matters.
• Processes new / returning offshore crew (including visa, immigration, medicals & Emirates ID depending location), issues them with all necessary company forms.
• Follow and implements the procedures of offshore crew going on leave.
• Ensures all crew have necessary courses and certification as per the relevant training matrix.
• Liaise with external training providers and flag state authorities to ensure specific certification is maintained and kept up to date.
• Liaison with the Public Relations Department to ensure the issuance, tracking and termination of government documents for offshore staff (Including visas for U.A.E. crew)
• Identify vacant positions, and liaise with the Recruitment Coordinator to close out recruitment requirements to maintain planning.
• Report any problems or suggestions for improvement to the Crewing Manager.
• Arrange travel for offshore crew, and management of crew change costs.
• Out of hours work where necessary, to ensure the continuous operation of company’s units.
• Any other work related duties as and when requested by the Crewing Manager.

• Confident decision maker with the ability to multitask efficiently.
• Ability to deal with people of different nationality in a professional and tactful manner.
• Enjoys working to targets in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
• Able to react quickly on unexpected changes and challenges.
• Self-starter and stress-resistant.
• Must have an excellent understanding of STCW 95 convention and its amendments and knowledge of crewing related ISM regulations.
• Computer literate: Knowledge of Microsoft office applications such as MS Excel, MS Word and MS Outlook is essential.
