Cybersecurity Engineer

Job summary:

We are looking for a proactive and skilled cybersecurity professional to join our team in the UAE. The successful candidate will be responsible for protecting the organization's IT infrastructure, systems, and data from cyber threats. This role involves identifying vulnerabilities, implementing security measures, monitoring security incidents, and ensuring compliance with cybersecurity policies and regulations.

Key responsibilities:

• Monitor, detect, and respond to cybersecurity incidents and threats using security tools and platforms.
• Conduct regular security assessments, vulnerability scans, and penetration tests.
• Develop, implement, and enforce cybersecurity policies, procedures, and best practices.
• Collaborate with IT teams to design secure system architectures and network infrastructures.
• Manage and maintain security solutions such as firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems (IDS/IPS), antivirus, and endpoint protection.
• Investigate security breaches, conduct forensic analysis, and prepare incident reports.
• Ensure compliance with UAE cybersecurity laws, regulations, and industry standards (e.g., NESA, ISO 27001, GDPR).
• Conduct employee training and awareness programs on cybersecurity risks and safe practices.
• Stay up to date with the latest cybersecurity threats, trends, and technologies.
• Support audits and regulatory inspections related to information security.

Qualifications and skills:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or related field.
• Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CEH, CompTIA Security+, or equivalent.
• 2-5 years of experience in cybersecurity or information security roles.
• Strong understanding of network protocols, security architectures, and cryptographic principles.
• Experience with SIEM tools, firewall management, antivirus solutions, and vulnerability assessment tools.
• Ability to analyze security incidents and provide effective solutions.
• Knowledge of UAE cybersecurity regulations and compliance frameworks.
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Fluent in English; Arabic language skills are an advantage.
