Data Analysis Manager (Cased Hole Logging)

Our client, a specialist provider of well services to the global oil & gas market, is currently looking to hire a Data Analysis Manager which can be based at their offices in Aberdeen or Dubai.

Overall purpose:

• To ensure all Cased Hole Data Analysis Services are delivered to our clients in a professional, efficient, safe and cost effective manner.

Key Activities and Accountabilities:

• To ensure that all Cased Hole Logging data analysis activities are performed in a professional, efficient, safe and cost effective manner to the complete satisfaction of the customer.
• Monitor performance measures to ensure good performance is maintained and areas for improvement are identified.
• To formulate and gain acceptance for the annual Cased Hole Logging Operations budgets and to ensure the necessary resources are in place to achieve the budgeted work program.
• To maintain close liaison with Workshops, Business Development, Group Engineering and Cased Hole Business Unit regarding all project related activities, which also includes overseas operations relating to personnel and equipment support.
• To identify and exploit any opportunity for expansion and development of Cased Hole Logging Operations business
• To maintain close liaison at all times with Clients or their representatives.
• To ensure that a high-quality service is offered to our clients on all occasions.
• To interview and recruit operational personnel and to motivate, train and develop staff to maintain an effective workforce capable of meeting its objectives, without harm to personnel or the environment.
• To propose and justify the need for capital expenditure to support and expand the business.
• To keep under review and recommend organisational changes to optimise working practises and staff career development
• To maintain active participation in improving the quality and HSE management system and bring to the attention of senior management any HSE issues that requires their attention.
• To ensure that month end financial reports and operational statistics are delivered to the Product Line Manager/VP
• To prepare, code and approve the monthly invoices and/or cross charges, ensuring accuracy is maintained at all times.
• To chair regular meetings to discuss operational issues and share updates on latest company policies, structure, future plans, technologies and safety related topics.
• Ensure that all incidents are properly recorded and reported and that an investigation is carried out to establish and rectify root causes.
• Take immediate and appropriate steps to investigate and rectify any risks to people or the environment arising from the work activity.
• To ensure that employees, contractors and visitors are aware of relevant HSE procedures
• Ensure that all customer logs receive prompt follow-up and interpretation support by a member of the Operations, Sales, or Interpretation teams.
• To take overall responsibility for the security of Data Centre operations and ensure that appropriate controls are implemented
• Lead in the planning, development and enhancement of the Data Centre provision within overall business planning
• Ensure that operational procedures, data management standards and working practices are fit for purpose and current.

Requirements

• Engineering or Scientific graduate in Petroleum Engineering, Well Technology or a related discipline or relevant industry experience

Job Knowledge and Qualifications:

• Engineering or Scientific graduate in Petroleum Engineering, Well Technology or a related discipline or relevant industry experience.
• Technical awareness of and familiarity with aspects of reservoir characterization, drilling, well testing, well operations, production and well intervention.
• Familiar with corporate, industry and professional standards, policies, regulations, compliance and codes of conduct associated with the role.
• Understanding of finance principles/concepts and statements (P&L, balance sheet, cash flow).
• Experience in managing budgets and P&L of assigned resources.
• Preferably/desirable experience in managing geographically spread and multicultural teams
