Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

Are you an excel genius with a passion for data management, collation and design? If you answered a resounding “Yes!”, our international legal client based in Dubai is exceptionally keen for you to apply for this vacancy. The main function of this role is to support a team of Lawyers within the International Trade division with data processing and extensive document formatting and design. Therefore, it is essential that you possess advanced excel skills including pivot tables, v-look ups and graphs, alongside experience of Visio data visualization and PowerPoint presentation graphics and effects capabilities.

You will work very closely with the exceptionally fast paced global legal team to create, review, and analyse large volumes of substantive data in Excel spreadsheet and MS Word formats. You will be tasked with designing aesthetically appealing presentations in PowerPoint; formatting lengthy memos for ease of the reader’s reference in Word; and creating business-friendly flowcharts and decision trees using the Visio application and e-discovery databases, such as Relativity. It is expected that you will understand the preferences of the team and how information should be displayed and formatted as you fully settle into the role. This will ensure that large amounts of information, across all the afore mentioned formats are devised in to “bite sized” portions and therefore easier for the team to digest. The ideal candidate will be very confident in their abilities and able to demonstrate more desirable and efficient ways to manage and display all the relevant information required, as the ability to go above and beyond expectations is a key aspect of this role. With regards to analysis, the candidate is expected to run reports and take (at times) very brief direction from the Lawyers in terms of the most relevant information required. Your autonomous approach and confident attitude to take responsibility with minimal supervision will be essential here.

Requirements

A motivated and organised Data Analyst you will have the ability to prioritize and manage your workload, work independently and as a member of a range of global teams, completing tasks under strict time pressure as required. There may also be interaction with external clients and stakeholders and therefore poise, tact, patience and professionalism are required at all times. The successful and highly analytical degree educated candidate should be extremely tech savvy and have an eye for design to simplify the presentation of complex information. You will be fully conversant with all Microsoft Office suite applications, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Visio and possess excellent communication and written skills and be confident when dealing with people across all levels of seniority.
