Data Analyst

Job description / Role

• Analyze large and complex datasets to uncover trends, insights, and business opportunities
• Write efficient and scalable SQL queries for data extraction, transformation, and reporting
• Utilize Python (e.g., Pandas, NumPy, matplotlib) for data cleaning, exploration, and analysis
• Design and maintain interactive dashboards and reports using Power BI
• Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather data requirements and deliver actionable insights
• Present analytical findings clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences
• Ensure data quality, consistency, and adherence to internal governance standards
• Support business strategy and operations with data-driven recommendations
• Contribute to improving internal data processes, tools, and reporting workflows
• Apply domain expertise in banking or financial services to enhance analysis relevance (preferred)

• Minimum 4+ years of experience in a data analyst or similar role
• Proven experience with SQL for querying and managing relational databases
• Proficiency in Python for data analysis and automation tasks
• Strong hands-on experience with Power BI for creating reports and dashboards
• Excellent analytical thinking and attention to detail
• Strong communication skills to explain complex data concepts clearly
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively across teams
• Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, Finance, or a related field
• Banking or financial services industry experience is preferred
• Familiarity with data governance, risk, or compliance reporting is a plus
• Experience with cloud data platforms (e.g., Azure, AWS, Snowflake) is an advantage
