Fetchr continues to grow and we're looking for an experienced Data Engineer to join Fetchr's Data Engineering team based in our Dubai HQ.

What you'll be doing:
As part of the Data Engineering team you'll be responsible for:
- Focusing on a variety of projects within the engineering team including the creation of the data pipeline, feature engineering and building the ETL's of scalable data solutions.
- You'll be working collaboratively with engineers, data scientists, product managers and business intelligence teams in order to manage data across the organization.
- You will be designing and implementing data strategies and providing data that can be ingested by the data science and operational teams accordingly.

What you'll need to succeed:
- Be able to write clean, self-documenting & performant code
- Recommend & apply appropriate technologies, libraries & frameworks
- Take ownership and drive the data development strategies
- Create ETL scripts using pertinent technologies
- Be well versed in Cloud Platforms; in particular AWS and their services such as but not limited to Kinesis, EMR, Athena, Lambda, DynamoDB, ElastiCache, ElasticSearch RDS and Redshift
- Be able to map KPI's and metrics to OLTP data models
- Understand Data architectures, Data warehousing principles and be able to participate in the design and development of conventional data warehouse solutions
- Understand database RDBMS and NoSQL and their pros and cons for use in particular business scenarios
- Understand throughput rates for both ingress and egress data and be able to optimize for both cost and performance.
- A B.Sc in computer science, computer engineering, data engineering or equivalent experience
- At least 3 years experience in data engineering or similar paradigms
