Job description / Role
Charterhouse is working with a leading client, within the commodities trading sector, in line with continued regional growth, from their Dubai hub, the client is now looking to hire a Data Engineer to join their team. As the Data Engineer, you will work closely with the data science & business intelligence teams to develop data models and pipelines for research.
Your main responsibilities will be to work with data to solve business problems, build & maintain the infrastructure to answer questions and improve processes. The role will involve writing effective & scalable code, the main programming languages used are Python & SQL.
You will also be responsible for the development and execution of ETL pipelines and have the ability to integrate multiple data sources into a single system. Hands on experience working with Rest APIs and SDK is desired.
Requirements
The successful candidate should hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science/IT or a related field and have at least six years’ experience working as a Data Engineer.
To be considered for this role, strong proficiency in Python, SQL is required alongside PySpark, PL/SQL, Oracle and Database Management. R, RStudio and Tableau skills are preferred. Strong communication skills in English & Russian are desired.
