Job description / Role
As the Data Management Specialist you will be responsible for supporting high visibility technical projects related to data mart management and business intelligence whilst developing data solutions and working in line to meet organisational objectives

Description
* Work with data management to align technical solutions with data governance requirements
* Work with business analysts to design and validate technical data solutions with respect to business problems
* Develop and maintain industry best practices within the organisation
* Mentor other employees and internal stakeholders on using/growing the Informatica platform for data mart integration.
* Develop and grow Microstrategy platforms for building reports, dashboards and analytical applications.
* Support and train business users on specific reporting applications
* Advice the business users on appropriate visualisations and techniques to display impactful information.
* Design and help business users with processes to maintain integrity and quality of the data residing in the data marts
* Work with the relevant teams to optimise data mart performance, resiliency and scalability
* Ensure reoccurring issues are identified, tracked, reported on and resolved in a timely manner

Requirements
* At least 10 years of experience in working with BI tools, techniques and delivering data management solutions
* High degree of proficiency in database querying and query optimisation
* Strong experience in SQL Server, Oracle, Informatica Power Center, Microstrategy BI suite or similar ETL tools
* Project management experience, preferably in Agile methodology
* Experience with business analytics tools and techniques such as process flow mapping, requirements gathering etc.
* A Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering or equivalent
