Data Migration Consultant

Job description / Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for leading, managing, and executing large-scale SAP data migration projects. Key responsibilities include developing a comprehensive data migration strategy, ensuring data quality and governance, and overseeing the full migration lifecycle. This role requires close collaboration with both business and IT stakeholders to ensure successful delivery and alignment with broader transformation objectives.

• Develop and implement a data migration strategy aligned with SAP and business objectives
• Lead full-cycle SAP data migration projects (planning, execution, post-migration)
• Establish data governance policies and data quality standards
• Oversee data mapping, transformation, validation, and reconciliation
• Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and ensure compliance
• Provide expertise on SAP data structures and migration tools
• Manage project risks and develop mitigation strategies

• Proven experience in leading SAP data migration projects (e.g., ECC to S/4HANA)
• Strong knowledge of SAP data models, ETL tools (e.g., SAP Data Services, Migration Cockpit)
• Experience in data governance, quality frameworks, and compliance standards
• Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills
• Familiarity with cloud-based migration solutions (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
• Knowledge of Agile project delivery and strong documentation skills
