Job description / Role

This pivotal role ensures compliance with UAE PDPL, UK GDPR, and other data protection regulations. You will design and implement robust governance frameworks and oversee the full lifecycle of business-critical data.

As the primary point of contact for data protection matters, you will advise on privacy-by-design, manage breaches, and lead training initiatives to embed compliance culture across the organisation.

Description

* Develop and maintain data governance and protection frameworks aligned with UAE and UK laws
* Monitor compliance with retention rules, policies, and regulatory requirements
* Define data ownership roles, classification models, and decision-making structures
* Lead breach management and coordinate notifications with regulators
* Deliver training and awareness programmes across the organisation

* Bachelor's degree or higher (Master's preferred) in Law, Information Security, or related field
* Minimum 10 years' experience in data protection, privacy, compliance, or information security
* Expertise in UAE PDPL and UK GDPR frameworks
* Familiarity with ISO27701 and ISO27001 standards
* Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
