Data Scientist

Job description / Role

• Develop and implement advanced machine learning models and statistical analyses to solve real-world business problems
• Work with large, complex datasets to derive insights, patterns, and predictions
• Use Python and relevant libraries (e.g., scikit-learn, Pandas, NumPy, TensorFlow) for data modeling and experimentation
• Collaborate with stakeholders to define problems, gather data requirements, and deliver data science solutions
• Design experiments and A/B tests to validate hypotheses and measure business impact
• Communicate technical findings clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences
• Work with data engineers to optimize data pipelines and ensure model deployment readiness
• Build and maintain production-ready models with monitoring and retraining strategies
• Translate business goals into analytical projects and deliver measurable outcomes
• Stay current with industry trends and best practices in machine learning and data science

• Minimum 4+ years of experience in data science, machine learning, or a similar role
• Strong proficiency in Python, including data science libraries (scikit-learn, Pandas, NumPy, etc.)
• Solid experience with SQL for data extraction and preprocessing
• Hands-on experience with building and deploying machine learning models
• Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP
• Strong background in statistics, probability, and data modeling techniques
• Experience with visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, matplotlib, seaborn)
• Excellent problem-solving, communication, and storytelling skills
• Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or related field
• Banking or financial services industry experience is preferred
• Experience with version control (e.g., Git) and working in agile development environments is a plus
