BlackStone eIT is seeking a skilled DBA (Cloud) to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing and optimizing our cloud-based database environments, ensuring high performance, security, and data integrity. You will play a vital role in executing database migrations, configurations, and integrations while leveraging cloud technologies to enhance business operations.

Key responsibilities:

• Manage and maintain cloud-based databases, ensuring optimal performance and availability.
• Implement and monitor backup, recovery, and disaster recovery solutions in cloud environments.
• Configure security measures and access controls to protect sensitive data in the cloud.
• Collaborate with development teams to support application deployments and database requirements.
• Perform database migrations from on-premises to cloud environments, ensuring smooth transitions.
• Monitor database performance and troubleshoot issues, implementing necessary optimizations.
• Stay informed about the latest cloud technologies and industry best practices related to database management.
• Develop and maintain technical documentation on database configurations, processes, and policies.

Requirements

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience in database administration, with a focus on cloud databases such as AWS RDS, Azure SQL Database, or Google Cloud SQL.

Technical skills:

• Proficiency in managing cloud-based databases and understanding of cloud architecture.
• Experience with data backup, recovery, and disaster recovery strategies in cloud environments.
• Familiarity with cloud security best practices and compliance regulations.
• Strong SQL skills and experience with performance tuning and optimization.
• Knowledge of database migration strategies and integration with cloud services.
• Familiarity with database monitoring tools applicable to cloud services.

Soft skills:

• Excellent analytical and troubleshooting skills to resolve database issues effectively.
• Strong communication and collaboration abilities to work with diverse teams.
