Overview of the role:

The individual would be responsible to take complete ownership of end-to-end implementation of ETL and Power BI solutions, from data acquisition and transformation to the creation of dynamic and impactful dashboards.

What you will do:

• Extract, transform, and load (ETL) data (utilizing Databricks) from various sources into data warehouses or data lakes.
• Design and optimize data models to enable efficient data analysis and visualization.
• Develop and maintain interactive dashboards and reports using Power BI to visualize key performance indicators and business metrics.
• Write complex SQL queries to extract and manipulate data from relational databases.
• Implement data quality checks and ensure data integrity across different data sources.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and translate business needs into actionable insights.
• Continuously monitor and evaluate BI solutions to identify opportunities for improvement and optimization.
• Conduct ad-hoc analysis in case of significant deviations between measurement results and performance targets and suggest process improvements to operational areas and process owners.

Required skills to be successful:

Job-specific skills:

• Proven experience working with Databricks or other ETL tools.
• Proven experience working with Power BI with expertise in building semantic models for data visualization.
• Advanced SQL skills, including expertise in writing complex queries and optimizing database performance.
• Familiarity with data warehousing concepts, including dimensional modelling and ETL processes.
• Must have experience working directly with end-users and analysts in a business intelligence environment.

• Bachelor's or master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science or related discipline.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.

Minimum experience:

• Minimum 8 years of professional experience with at least 4 years’ experience working within the Business Intelligence domain.
