Job description / Role
Role: Delivery Merchandiser
Job Location: Dubai, UAE
Reports To: Business Development Manager / Assigned Manager
Key Roles & Responsibilities:
The Delivery Merchandiser is responsible for arranging and displaying products in a visually appealing manner to attract customers' attention. This involves setting up product displays, shelves, and signage in accordance with the brand's guidelines and promotional strategies.
Responsibilities:
• Work as a team member with your Supervisor/Sales Representative and other Merchandisers to achiever the best results always.
• Deliver a wide variety of items to different addresses and through different routes. Follow routes and time schedule.
• Load, unload, prepare, inspect and operate a delivery vehicle.
• Ask for feedback on provided services and resolve clients’ complaints.
• Collect payments.
• Inform customers about new products and services.
• Complete logs and reports.
• Follow DOT regulations and safety standards.
• Stock movements of our products / promotional materials from our warehouse to the stores or between the stores.
• Arrange and display products in a visually appealing and organized manner on store shelves, end caps, displays, and other areas to attract customer attention.
• Increasing the visibility of our products by increasing the space and moving the products to eye level position.
• Monitor stock levels and replenish products as needed to ensure they are readily available for customers.
• Coordinate with store staff or managers to address any inventory issues, such as place price tags, labels, and promotional materials (e.g., shelf talkers, signage) to communicate pricing, discounts, and special offers to customers.
• Rotate products on shelves to ensure that items with expiration dates (e.g., food products) are sold in a first-in, first-out (FIFO) manner to maintain product freshness.
• Ensure that stock returns, expiry issues and compensation to customers (incorrect pricing etc.) is kept to an absolute minimum.
• Collect data on product sales, inventory levels, and customer preferences as needed and submit to the Salesman / Supervisor.
• Build and maintain positive relationships with store managers, staff, and personnel to ensure effective collaboration and communication.
• Stay informed about the features and benefits of the products being merchandised to answer customer questions and provide recommendations.
• Ensure that products are displayed and handled in compliance with industry regulations and store policies, such as health and safety standards.
• Monitor competitors' products and their presentation in stores to provide recommendations for improving merchandising strategies.
Requirements:
Qualifications & Requirements:
• Valid UAE driver’s license (Manual)
• High school diploma or equivalent experience.
• Proven working experience as a delivery driver, delivery to retail outlets and/or merchandising experience in a related field.
• Outdoor Merchandise experience preferably with distributor. FMCG, Hypermarkets in UAE (7 Emirates)
• Good driving record with no traffic violations
• Knowledge of inventory management and basic math skills.
• Verbal English speaking and written communication skills (outgoing personality).
• Physical fitness and the ability to lift and move products.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Adaptability and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
