Job description / Role
• Developing and maintaining strong relationships with existing clients, ensuring their needs are met and expectations exceeded.
• Acting as the main point of contact for clients, addressing any issues or concerns promptly and effectively through regular client meetings to review performance and discuss new opportunities.
• Oversee the lifecycle of commercial contracts, ensuring compliance with internal standards and industry regulations, and manage contract variations, claims, and disputes.
• Negotiating contract terms and conditions with clients, aiming to achieve mutually beneficial agreements.
• Managing contract variations, claims, and disputes, ensuring all are accurately documented and resolved in a timely manner
• Leading the preparation and submission of detailed tenders and proposals, ensuring all submissions are competitive, compliant, and aligned with strategic objectives.
• Developing and implementing commercial strategies that drive revenue growth and improve profitability, while monitoring market trends and competitor activities to identify opportunities.
• Assisting in the development of pricing strategies and financial models to support commercial proposals and negotiations.
• Ensuring all invoices and financial documentation related to contracts are correctly prepared and verified before submission.
• Monitoring and reporting on the financial performance of commercial projects, providing insights and recommendations to management.
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in business, an MBA or equivalent is preferred.
• Certification in Contract Management or related fields is an advantage.
• 12-15 years of experience in commercial management roles, preferably in the marine industry.
• Strong understanding of tendering processes, contract management, and client relations.
• Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities with a keen attention to detail.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills for collaboration with internal teams and external stakeholders.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a strategic mindset.
• Middle East knowledge preferably with UAE Experience
