Employment: Contract

Our client is now recruiting for a Deputy Manager RSA/VSA/PSA. You will be directly reporting to the Lead Manager - Search and Screening - Security Operations
Required Background: Military, Police Security or Defence (candidates coming from this background will be considered for the role.)
Contract Duration: 8.4 months

Job Purpose
The Security Department at the event is mandated to prepare, deliver and ensure that the appropriate security solutions are in place for all phases of the programme and into legacy through a guest focused, risk-based approach that sets out to provide best-in-class security.

The role of the Operations function is principally concerned with overseeing all aspects of Security across all phases of the event programme, from construction, event delivery and legacy.

The purpose of the role of the Deputy Manager – Search and Screening is to support the Lead Manager Search and Screening and when required to deputize for him/her. Therein to implement plans and execute on the Security Plan (Concept of Operation) for Security Operational (Screening) for both the readiness and event phases. This extends to the following screening areas:
• Vehicle Screening Area(VSA)
• Pedestrian Screening Area (PSA)
• Remote Screening Area (RSA)

The role includes supporting the event operational functions, processes and SOPs.

Core Accountabilities
Operational Responsibilities:
• Implement detailed plans for the Screening Area to cover all aspects of the security arrangements as directed including; routine access control operations of search and screening, scenario, contingency
• Incident Management and emergency evacuation, and others
• Support the drafting and execution of Security Plans, and Standard Operating Procedures to support the above.
• Deliver on Plans ensuring effective execution, working closely with Dubai Police, Workforce, Machinery, Logistics.
• Collaborate with event’s Operational staff to deliver efficient effective operations
• Propose and assist in drafting SOP’s ahead of future requirements.
• Manage timelines and deliverables, ensuring that all milestones are identified and met, escalating to the Lead Manager when required for resolution or other
• Work with the lead manager for Search and Screening and when appropriate the Training Manager on training requirements for staff involved in Screening, ensuring appropriate personnel are trained and briefed as appropriate.
• Undertake any other duties as assigned by the Chief of Security, the Head of Security Operations or the Lead Manager of Search and Screening from time to time.

People Responsibilities:
• Supervise the Workforce Security Contractor

Requirements

Knowledge, Qualifications & Skills required

Essential (must have to perform the role):
• 5 years’ experience in Security or similar role
• Strong Presentation skills
• Demonstrated time management skills
• Demonstrated experience in delivering on plans
• Demonstrated experience in Incident Management and Conflict Resolution
• Strong Attention to detail skills
• Demonstrated experience and expertise in Planning and Organisation

Desirable (advantageous):
• Previous Search and Screening Experience
• Thorough understanding of Security operations
• Event experience
