Design and Estimation Engineer

Job description / Role

Guildhall is looking for a Design & Estimation Engineer to join a leading organisation in the Pre-Engineered Steel Buildings (PEB) and Hot Rolled Steel Structures sector. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing accurate designs, cost estimations, and technical proposals while ensuring compliance with industry standards and client requirements.

Key Responsibilities
* Prepare structural design calculations and detailed estimations for Pre-Engineered and Hot Rolled Steel Building projects.
* Develop accurate cost proposals, bills of quantities, and material take-offs.
* Review and interpret client requirements, tender documents, and specifications.
* Utilize design software such as MBS and STAAD, along with AutoCAD, to produce efficient and reliable designs.
* Collaborate with sales, project management, and engineering teams to deliver competitive proposals.
* Ensure compliance with international codes, safety standards, and quality requirements.
* Provide technical support during bidding, negotiation, and project execution stages.
* Work closely with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain accurate pricing for materials and services.

* Bachelor’s Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
* Minimum 2–3 years of experience in the Pre-Engineered Steel Building (PEB) field (UAE experience preferred).
* Proficiency in MBS, STAAD, and AutoCAD is essential.
* Strong analytical, numerical, and problem-solving skills.
* Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
* Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
