Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

Our client who is a new and different IB international school is looking for a Design and Technology Teacher as well as a Drama and Art/Drama and Theatre Teacher. They are committed to providing a high-quality, customised education in a supportive, caring, and collaborative learning environment. They believe education has to be dynamic, creative, constantly evolving, and open to different and better ways of thinking "Ideas don’t stand still, and neither do we". They facilitate the free flow and interplay of ideas and equip their students with the skills to embrace them, apply them, and grow with them.

This is an exciting opportunity to suit an innovative professional with exceptional teaching skills, excellent knowledge of curriculum, and a delight in being part of the founding teaching team of this exciting School. Your understanding of pupils’ strengths and needs is essential, as is the creation of a positive learning environment in the classroom. In addition, your role is to develop and foster the appropriate skills, leadership capabilities, and social abilities to enable their optimum development in accordance with their age, ability, and aptitude; and to partner with parents for a wrap-around approach to pupil support.

· Experienced in the best global educational practices.

Requirements

Qualifications and Experience:
· The successful candidate will have the ability and experience to teach the subject(s) for all grade levels, preferably with IB Curriculum experience (although not essential – training will be given)
· Essential qualities will include the ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team and to present to parents, pupils, and colleagues a warm, engaging, and approachable personality. Reliable and respectful at all times.
· The successful candidate will have a university degree and teaching qualification from a recognised academic institution.
· The successful candidate will hold subject and professional qualifications that are acceptable to the KHDA to teach in the subject area.
· A distinguished record of teaching, flexible and adaptable to the varied demands of working in a premier school, showing the capacity for creativity and innovation across and beyond the curriculum.
· A strong record of professional development and ability to demonstrate a positive and proactive attitude towards participation in CPD and the School’s PDR and appraisal processes.
· Able to work successfully under pressure with excellent organisational skills.
· A confident and competent user of IT in the classroom and for administrative purposes.
· Proactive in all aspects of School life through participation and support.
· Able to present a professional image in line with the high expectations of the school.
